Sigh

A few months ago I rear ended a car at my parking, it rolled down the hill and luckily it stopped a few metres away and did not block the road. Haha, I am still traumatised by that. The next day the driver told me he was surprised that I was being honest by leaving my phone number behind. I told myself that it was kind of stupid because there wasn't a cctv in sight, yeah but things happen for a reason. Being stupid is kind of humbling sometimes. And I haven't searched for that motorcyclist who rammed into my car causing scratches and my front bumper to yield slightly to gravity, though I know where I can find him when I finally repair my car. Later later la. Sigh.

Makan-makan fusion barat + asean

Sarapan

Burger telur scramble dan wrap. Wrap dia sedap sebab pedas2 sikit. Aku tak makan pedas tapi bila dapat makanan barat perasa Malaysia ni lega tekak rasa. Hehe.

Makan tengah hari

First day to makan nasi goreng dengan ayam manis bersesame seed.

My life and then hey what's this? Fanfiction?

Ok, if you are a regular reader of my blog you would notice that I have substituted posting things about my life with fanfictions. I apologize for anyone who found this to be awkward since this blog was originally something about lifestyle and suddenly I'm going fanfiction all the way. I had a sideblog for writing stuff but since I started writing fanfiction I did not have time to keep up with that blog, so I thought I'll delete that blog (It was titled LukisTulis, since I mostly post my fiction and drawings there) and just stash everything here.

Well, I have been writing Jan 14th, 2016 and that's a year and a month ago. I don't write all the time, but I when I write it's 2-3 days of typing and checking. Sometimes I go for a week to three weeks not writing anything if I have other things in life like my kids falling sick and or if I am on holiday mode. Since writing fanfiction is more like unpaid work, rather than hobby to me, I try to write when I am only feeling it. A fanfic writer don't profit from fanfiction writing, so we all must fulfil our normal responsibility beofore we update that story.

I have five short stories, and ten naruto / drabble / free multichapter. I am trying to finish them by March as I be busy starting this April. Most of the ideas were a 2-3 day thing churning in my head and when I get free time, mostly while waiting for things, I write them on Google Drive. In November I made the stupid decision of totally writing a new crackish/silly, Naruto x One Punch Man ficion which was both hated and faved. It has 4 chapters more on it and it's called Fire, you can look at my side bar and click on it.

I posted on fanfiction.net, archive of our own (AO3), and wattpad, but I don't post all the stories there. I basically choose my most read ones and posted them on Wattpad. I used to post it asianfanfiction but that site does not enable users to choose a specific fandom option, you have to categorize using hashtags and that's tedious. So I am content with posting them on ff net and ao3, and here too. I noticed that the number of views reached more than 10 times my normal view. That's awesome.

Ok, so what is fanfiction? Fanfiction is when die hard fans watch a medium be it anime / books / novels / movies / cartoon and think, what happened if Character A and Character B is a couple instead of enemies? Haha. When I first entered the fandom scene I was mortified by the amount of Yaoi elements, seeing that my fave fandom - Naruto is a shounen anime - meaning that it is catered for young girls primarily. The top pairing is Sasuke x Naruto and not Sasuke x Sakura, or Hinata x Naruto.

So all we all know love makes the world goes around, so most fanfiction revolved around the love theme, apart from action, betrayal, drama, family and lots more. I right about things I know and they are drama, romance, friendship and family. It is a pain but I try to write action these days, it was tough but I learned a lot.

When writing action I usually use my experience of directing a multiple camera programme to write about what the audience see. Like firstly is the master shot - where you establish the location, maybe describe the building and how many people are there, any monsters, sight and sound. Then it's from the enemy's pov - who the good guys are, and then - shot of the menacing antagonist. Then there would be close ups of hands or legs, or two character shots and such. It is all written sequentially so readers can read one by one what was happening. At least I used that because I don't know about any other way.

Well, my first and only advice for really novice writers, write about things you know. If you are not sure, at least google for it. Sometimes making things can be hazardous like saying how a four month old can crawl, that's too early. Oh and fanfictions about the official top pairings having a baby is a hit. I don't know why but it's usually popular. There's something called male pregnancy in fanfiction and it's everywhere too.

Ok, last word is try to write one story at a time and have only one published. I made a grave decision of writing one, publish it, suddenly have another idea and publish seven more new multichapters within a short time period. It's been a year and the eight is killing me sometimes. But it's a hobby so don't sweat over it. I do it for me first and foremost, and the readers later.

Free! Drabble - Valentine's Day?

This is something I wrote promptly using the Free! AU fandom as the premise. For those who never saw Free! or read High Speed, which are anime and manga to a high school series about a bunch of swimmers from Iwatobi High / Samezuka Academy, well this is the fandom. It featured topless kids swimming and being emotional.

However as the fandom dealt with M/M pairings and my preferences are M/F pairings, so I genderbend them. So in here Rin Matsuoka and Sousuke Yamazaki are 16 year old boys, and Haruka Nanase and Makoto Tachibana are girls. They are all attending Iwatobi in this AU. It's something about crushes and love.

....................................................
There are more reasons to be angry about this, than to be happy about. Of course Rin chose to be angry, he was always ready to embrace anger rather than happiness. He did not like this at all, in fact he thought that it was inappropriate to be happy over this. His personal space was being invaded by someone he didn't know. It did not matter that the invasion was just a huge bouquet of chocolate bouquet placed on his table, he just thought that the method was cringy. The sender wanted to be anonymous but made Rin receive the gift publicly. The anonymous sender could have chosen other personal methods, such as sneaking it inside his locker or via a delivery man and send to Rin during lunch or any other personal time. He didn't like being clueless. Not like this, not on the first period on a Monday where he had classes with his crush. His crush would think that he had someone in his life when he was very, very single.

Matsuoka Rin opened his bag and took out his phone, and the date… there on the phone's display was the iconic date, but February 14th felt like it fell out of nowhere for Rin. Then he palmed his face, he had been away for practice since December and had only came to school for registration. All his classes had been held at the office of the swimming center where he had been practicing. Since he practiced for the regional sometimes dates did not register to him at all. Even new year was forced on him with his sister declaring him ungrateful for failing to spend the night at home instead of the swimming center's hostel. And now Valentine came on a Monday and he totally forgot about it, along with the opportunity to send a Valentine to his crush.

“Biggest bouquet i've seen so far today,” someone commented followed by chuckles.

“Shut up Yamazaki” Rin glared at his best friend, also a swimmer who was on hiatus because of an injured shoulder. At this point, his classmates started arriving for class one by one. He sighed and decided that there was no point in concealing the bouquet. He held it casually in his arm as he shoved aside things in his bag to put the bouquet in, and at that precise moment his crush walked into class.

Nanase Haruka was a girl beyond Rin’s comprehension. She almost qualified for regional swimming competition too but got disqualified for suddenly stopping in the middle of her race in the qualifying round. Rumours claimed that she was distraught as her parents were divorcing. That rumour made Rin cringe to ask her about her well being.

Haruka looked at the bouquet in Rin’s hand and then at him, but she looked away and headed to her seat. Rin was a little disappointed that she showed no reaction at the bouquet. Did she even care?

Great, now one more thing coming between us, he thought. Rin was still hopeful about him and Haruka. Maybe in the future if it couldn't happen now.

Rin had been crushing on Haruka for two years. At fourteen he entered Iwatobi High and registered with the swimming club, where he saw Haruka swimming. He fell instantly in love with her. He wished that he could ask her for a race but it was impossible since they are of different genders and they barely spoke to each other.

“Babe, how's the weekend?” Yamazaki Sousuke spoke to someone else this time. Rin stashed the bouquet inside his bag but only the bottom part of the bouquet fit the bag. Rin zipped up his bag and dropped his jacket onto his bag, totally covering the top half of the bouquet. Then he turned towards his best friend and saw Sousuke flirting with his girlfriend of one month, Tachibana Makoto, also best friend of Haruka. Sousuke pulled Makoto towards him and pecked her cheek, Rin quickly averted his eyes.

“We're in a classroom,” Makoto reprimanded her boyfriend. Sousuke laughed as Makoto moved away to her seat across from Rin.

At the moment Rin wished he had the balls to confess to Haruka openly like Sousuke, but with Haruka mostly ignoring him, he thought waiting for some more time was better. With Haruka whose personality was as frigid as a frozen lake, Rin wished that he could read the girl like Makoto could. Sometimes Rin envied Makoto for understanding each of Haruka’s non verbal language.

The teacher entered the class as Makoto sat down on her seat. Haruka glanced at Rin and he looked back. Their eyes met and Rin swore that he saw her eyes widening for a second.

“Now have you finished your assignments, Rin have you done yours? You did excellent in the past assignment despite preparation for regional and all,” the teacher praised.

Rin broke eye contact with Haruka reluctantly and nodded at his teacher. He blushed hard, he was not as good as Sousuke in his studies but he tried his damn hard to complete all his assignments on time.

“Now everyone, let's continue with a new chapter and don't forget to register for your favourite novel for English week,” continued the teacher.

Rin noticed Haruka stealing glances at him from the corner of his eye. It was odd for Haruka to pay him this much attention. Maybe the bouquet stirred something in Haruka, or was she jealous?  Maybe he had a chance now. Rin smirked and covered his face with a book before glancing at Haruka and locked eyes with her. This time Haruka did not turn away, she looked at him and blushed a deep red.
